In Thailand, sea turtles lay their eggs between November and March, and it is at this time that volunteers are needed in the greatest numbers to protect eggs and monitor beaches. Throughout the year, turtle populations are also at risk from fishing nets and other commercial activities, so community education is another important part of this project.

When you come to volunteer, you’ll work closely with staff members to educate the public about turtle conservation, and to monitor and promote safe environments for nesting. You’ll also help to rehabilitate turtles and other animals, working towards future reintroduction into the wild. This is a terrific chance to help nurture turtle populations while gaining hands-on volunteer experience with conservation in a beautiful environment!
